Official Visit of Prime Minister of Australia to Turkey No:56 - April 18, 2000

Upon the invitation of the Prime Minister of Turkey, H.E. Bülent Ecevit, the Prime Minister of Australia, H.E. John Howard will pay an official visit to Turkey on April 22-23, 2000.

During the official talks to be headed by the Turkish and the Australian Prime Ministers, the developments in bilateral relations will be discussed and views on regional and international matters of common interest will be exchanged .

During his visit, Prime Minister Howard will be received by the President of the Republic of Turkey, HE. Süleyman Demirel.

After these contacts, Prime Minister Howard will attend the Commemoration Ceremonies of the 85th Anniversary of the Gallipoli Battles on April 25, 2000.
