Minister of Foreign Affairs of Switzerland, H.E. Joseph Deiss’s Visit to Turkey (Unofficial Translation) No:18 - February 17, 2000

Upon the invitation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, H.E. İsmail Cem, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Switzerland, H.E. Joseph Deiss will pay an official visit to Turkey during 20-22 February 2000.

During the talks to be held with Swiss Foreign Minister Deiss, bilateral relations between Turkey and Switzerland as well as regional and international matters will be discussed. The visiting Minister will be received by the President of the Republic of Turkey, H.E. Süleyman Demirel and the Turkish Prime Minister, H.E. Bülent Ecevit and will also have a meeting with the Turkish Minister of Justice, H.E. Hikmet Sami Türk.

Swiss Foreign Minister Deiss will go to Istanbul in the evening of February 21 and will leave Turkey in the afternoon of February 22 after having meetings with various business circles in Istanbul.
