We have learned with regret that 17 persons died and 14 wounded, due to the detonation of a vehicle loaded with explosives in the environs of Damascus, the capital of Syria.



Turkey considers terror as a crime against humanity and condemns this heinous attack in the strongest terms possible.



We would like to extend our condolences to the bereaved relatives of those who perished in the attack and wish for the speedy recovery of those who have been wounded.



We hope that the perpetrators of this attack will be found as soon as possible and on this sad occasion reaffirm Turkey’s continued support for and contribution to the preservation of peace and stability in the Middle East.
