Minister of Foreign Affairs Ali Babacan will pay a working visit to Switzerland on 10-12 September 2008 upon the invitation of the Federal Councilor and Head of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs of Switzerland Micheline Calmy-Rey.

In the discussions, besides bilateral relations, regional issues and current international developments will be taken up. Also during the visit, the Addendum to the Memorandum of Understanding on the establishment of a political consultation mechanism between the two Foreign Ministries, concluded in 2001 in Berne, will be signed by Minister of Foreign Affairs Ali Babacan and Federal Councilor and Head of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs Micheline Calmy-Rey.
