We strongly condemn the terrorist attack which occurred in the Issers district of the province of Boumerdes in Algeria on 19 August 2008, claiming more than 40 lives and leaving many wounded.



Turkey considers terrorism, regardless of its source and cause, as a crime against humanity and vigorously underscores the significance of international solidarity in the fight against terrorism.



We extend our deepest condolences to the brotherly and friendly people of Algeria, and wish the wounded a speedy recovery.
