Turkey-EU Ministerial Troika meeting hosted by Foreign Minister Abdullah Gül will take place in Ankara on June 4, 2007.

Turkey-EU Troika meetings at ministerial level are being held during each Presidency since the 1999 Helsinki Summit where Turkey was given the “candidate status”. The previous Ministerial Troika took place in Luxembourg on October 16, 2006.

During the meeting, the EU Troika will be represented by high level officials from the German Presidency, the incoming Portuguese Presidency, the Commission and the Council.

Turkey’s reform and EU accession processes, as well as recent international and regional developments will be discussed during the meeting.
