The Visit of the Russian Deputy Prime Minister (Unofficial Translation) No:80 - May 24, 2000

Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation İlya Klebanov will arrive in Ankara on May 25, 2000 to convey a special message from Russian President Vladimir Putin to President Ahmet Necdet Sezer.

Deputy Prime Minister Mr. Klebanov will be received by President Sezer on 26 May. He will also meet with Deputy Prime Minister Hüsamettin Özkan and Defense Minister Sabahattin Çakmakoğlu on the military and technical cooperation issues.

Mr.Klebanov , who is also responsible for the defence industry  had paid an official visit to Turkey on last February to deliver a letter from the Russian President to the Turkish President , containing Russia's answer to Turkey's proposal for "Caucasus Stability Pact". Mr.Klebanov will be accompanied a delegation including  Russian First Deputy Minister of Trade and Economic Development.
