Ambassador Korkmaz Haktanır , Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry, accompanied by a delegation, will pay a visit to Egypt on February 16-19, 1999 to participate in the first meeting of the High Level Officials of the Turkish-Egyptian Joint Committee, which was set up during the visit of the Egyptian President Hüsnü Mübarek to Turkey on December 5-6, 1998.

During the talks with the Egyptian authorities, views on bilateral relations and on problems regarding the region will be exchanged.
