Foreign Minister of the Republic of Austria Dr. Ursula Plassnik will pay an official visit to Turkey on 20-22 April 2008 upon the invitation of Minister of Foreign Affairs Ali Babacan.

During this visit, talks between the two delegations headed by Minister Plassnik and Minister Babacan will take place on 21 April. Dr. Plassnik will be received by President Abdullah Gül and Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. At the discussions, bilateral political, economic and cultural relations, Turkey`s EU membership negotiations, as well as regional and global issues will be taken up.
