The bilateral trade volume between Türkiye and Italy stood at 19.7 billion USD in 2017, which corresponds to an increase of 11.1 percent compared to the year before. (Turkish exports 8.47 billion USD; imports 11.3 billion US Dollars).

Main items of Türkiye’s exports to Italy consist of passenger motor vehicles, motor vehicles for good transport, fresh or dried fruits; whilst main items of Türkiye’s imports from Italy are parts and accessories for motor vehicles, petroleum oils, yachts and other vessels.

In the period of 2002- 2017, total amount of direct investments from Italy to Türkiye is almost 3,1 billion USD. This figure is 387 million USD from Türkiye to Italy in the same period.

In 2017, 205,788 tourists from Italy visited Türkiye.
