Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Mr. Özdil Nami paid a working visit to Turkey on 20 February 2015 upon the invitation of Mr. Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey.

Following the meetings at which the current stage of the Cyprus issue and various aspects of bilateral relations between Turkey and the TRNC were evaluated, a joint press conference was held.

Reiterating that all sorts of restrictions on TRNC should be lifted, Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu said “We continue our sincere efforts to make the year of 2015 the year of solution in Cyprus.”

TRNC Foreign Minister stated that intense efforts to make Greek Cypriot Administration return to the negotiation table without preconditions are ongoing, however that it is wrong to lay this responsibility solely on the Turkish side.
