The second meeting of Turkey-Russian Federation Joint Strategic Planning Group held in Moscow.

Mr. Ahmet Davutoğlu, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey paid a visit to Moscow on 25 January 2012 in order to attend the second meeting of the Joint Strategic Planning Group held in the framework of the High Level Cooperation Council (HLCC) which was founded between Turkey and the Russian Federation on 12 May 2010 under the co-chairmanship of Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkey, and Mr. Dimitri Medvedev, President of the Russian Federation. The first meeting of the Group chaired by Foreign Ministers of two countries was held in Istanbul on 20 January 2011.

The meeting of the Joint Strategic Planning Group serves as preparation for the third HLCC meeting to be organized within 2012. During the meeting, recent developments and cooperation opportunities in bilateral relations were addressed. Furthermore, views were exchanged on major regional and international developments.
