Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu attended the 6th Ministerial Conference of the İstanbul Process that was hosted by India in Amritsar on 4 December 2016.

The İstanbul Process, which aims to reinforce regional cooperation and solidarity through security building measures in the Heart of Asia focusing on Afghanistan, was established at the “Istanbul Conference for Afghanistan” held in 2011 under the leadership of Turkey in collaboration with Afghanistan.

Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu also held various bilateral meetings during the 6th Ministerial Conference of the İstanbul Process that is co-chaired by Afghanistan and India in 2016.
