The Ambassadors of African countries in Ankara planted trees at the memorial forest of the African Union on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the African Union.

Ambassador Birnur Fertekligil, Deputy Undersecretary of Africa and Multilateral Political Affairs, Ambassadors and diplomats of 24 African countries and Mr. Mustafa Ak, Mayor of Keçiören participated in the event organized by African Diplomatic Corps and the Municipality of Keçiören on May 22, 2013.

Deputy Undersecretary Ambassador Fertekligil, in her speech, underlined that Turkey is a part of Africa historically and culturally and the planted trees will be a symbol of eternal friendship and relations of brotherhood between Turkey and Africa.
