Visit of Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu to Slovakia to attend the 4th Visegrad Group+Turkey Foreign Ministerial, 30 April 2019

Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu visited Bratislava on 30 April 2019 to attend the 4th Visegrad Group+Turkey Foreign Ministerial and to hold bilaterals.

On 30 April 2019 at the V4+Turkey meeting attended by Minister Çavuşoğlu latest developments in the Middle East, fight against terrorism and irregular migration and Turkey- EU relations were discussed.

Minister Çavuşoğlu emphasized that Turkey’s close cooperation with these 4 countries from Central Europe (Slovakia, Czechia, Hungary and Poland) would continue.

On the same day, Minister Çavuşoğlu presented Mikulas Milko, President of the Slovak Association of Travel Agents (SACKA) an appreciation document thanking him for his contributions to Turkish-Slovakian tourism relations.

Minister Çavuşoğlu stated that in 2018 the number of Slovak tourists visiting Turkey increased by 60%.

Later that day, Minister Çavuşoğlu met also with Foreign Minister Miroslav Lajcak of Slovakia.

Minister Çavuşoğlu stressed that we would deepen our close cooperation with Slovakia in the field of economy, and expand it also to defence industry projects.
