On 31 January-1 February 2019 Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu visited Bucharest to attend the informal meeting of Foreign Ministers of the EU member and candidate countries.

On 31 January 2019 at Minister Çavuşoğlu’s meeting with Turkish company representatives, opportunities to further increase our trade volume were discussed.

On the same day, Minister Çavuşoğlu also met with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Marija Pejčinović-Burić of Croatia.

At the meeting, Turkey-Croatia relations and planned high-level visits were discussed.

On 1 February 2019 Minister Çavuşoğlu met with his German counterpart Heiko Maas.

At the meeting bilateral relations were discussed.

On the same day, at the Gymnich meeting of the EU member and candidate countries, views on China’s Belt and Road Initiative were exchanged.
