The Extraordinary Meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Organization of Turkic States was held via videoconference under the chairmanship of Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu on 11 January 2022 to discuss the developments in Kazakhstan, with the participation of the Foreign Ministers of the Member and Observer States of the Organization.

At the meeting, the Turkic States emphasized their support to Kazakhstan.

Minister Çavuşoğlu underlined that we believed that Kazakhstan and the Turkic World would emerge stronger from this challenge.

Later that day, Minister Çavuşoğlu met with President Hasan Turan of the Iraqi Turkmen Front (ITF) and discussed the issues on our agenda.

Minister Çavuşoğlu emphasized that we would always stand by the Iraqi Turkmens.
