Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu visited Jeddah on 17 July 2019 to attend the Open-Ended Extraordinary Meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

Minister Çavuşoğlu met with Foreign Minister Riad Malki of Palestine.

At the meeting Israel’s increasing illegitimate activities in Al-Quds were discussed.

Minister Çavuşoğlu emphasized that Turkey would always stand by the State of Palestine and our Palestinian brothers.

On the same day, Minister Çavuşoğlu stated at the OIC Executive Committee Meeting that Turkey rejected Israel’s attempts to re-write history to destroy the Islamic heritage of Al-Quds.

Minister Çavuşoğlu emphasized that no project ignoring the legitimate aspirations of Palestinians could succeed and that Turkey would always defend the first Qibla of the Ummah.
