Visit of Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu to Jeddah to attend the Extraordinary Meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, 15 September 2019

Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu visited Jeddah to attend the Extraordinary Meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation on 15 September 2019.

Before the OIC Meeting Minister Çavuşoğlu met with Foreign Minister Riad Malki of Palestine.

At the meeting, latest regional developments, particularly Israel’s reckless aggression were discussed.

Minister Çavuşoğlu stated that Turkey would continue to uphold the Palestinian cause in every forum and would always support the Palestinian people.

In his address at the Extraordinary Meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of OIC, Minister Çavuşoğlu stated that the international community should finally put an end to Israel’s violent policies and initiatives of expansion of illegal settlements.

Minister Çavuşoğlu stressed that we should ensure that Palestinians lived in a free Palestine, in peace and dignity.

Later, Minister Çavuşoğlu met with Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi of Jordan.

Minister Çavuşoğlu stated that we would continue to strenghten our cooperation with Jordan through our joint efforts not only in our bilateral relations but also in the defense of the Palestinian cause.
