Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu visited Geneva on 29 October 2019 to attend meetings of the Foreign Ministers of the Guarantors of the Astana format.

On this occasion, Minister Çavuşoğlu celebrated the 96th anniversary of our Republic with our citizens in Switzerland.

Minister Çavuşoğlu thanked Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov of the Russian Federation for attending the reception.

At the meeting between the Foreign Ministers of the Astana Format Guarantor States and Geir O. Pedersen, United Nations Special Envoy for Syria, Minister Çavuşoğlu stated that the launch of the Syria Constitutional Committee was a milestone with regard to political solution in Syria.
