Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu met with President Achim Steiner of UN Development Programme (UNDP) on 28 May 2019.

Minister Çavuşoğlu stated that Turkey and UNDP were determined to work towards further strengthening their strategic partnership to support those in most need in Turkey and in the world, including refugees. Minister Çavuşoğlu also stated that Turkey’s support for the UN Technology Bank is high on its agenda.

On the same day, Minister Çavuşoğlu also met with Secretary General Dr. Asaf Hajiyev of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (PABSEC).

Minister Çavuşoğlu emphasized that the Parliamentary Assembly of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation, one of the effective parliamentary dialogue platforms, played a key role in regional cooperation. Minister Çavuşoğlu thanked Secretary General Asaf Hajiyev for presenting him with the Honorary Medal of the PABSEC.
