Visit of Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu to the United Arab Emirates, 14-15 December 2021

Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu visited the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on 14-15 December 2021, upon the invitation of Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Foreign Minister of the UAE.

Minister Çavuşoğlu first met with the members of the Dubai Turkish Business Council on 14 December 2021.

Minister Çavuşoğlu noted that we would continue to support our business people, who played a major role in the development of our commercial relations with the UAE, and added that our trade would increase even more in the upcoming period.

On the same day, Minister Çavuşoğlu went to Expo 2020 in Dubai and visited the Turkish pavilion, as well as that of Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan and the UAE.

On 15 December 2021, Minister Çavuşoğlu met with Prime Minister of the UAE and the Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and expressed that we would further develop our economic and commercial relations with the UAE.

Then, Minister Çavuşoğlu had a meeting with Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed and noted that we would advance our cooperation in all fields and develop our relations with high-level visits and contacts.

During the meeting, the Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation between the Diplomacy Academies of both countries was also signed.

Minister Çavuşoğlu had also a meeting with Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed on our bilateral relations and regional issues.
