Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu met on 4 July 2019 with Dunja Mijatovic, Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights.

Minister Çavuşoğlu stated that we appreciated Dunja Mijatovic giving priority to the rights of migrants and emphasized that at a time when hostility towards Islam is dangerously expanding in Europe, we expected racism and discrimination to be also placed among Council of Europe’s top priority issues.

On the same day, Minister Çavuşoğlu met also with Ambassador Avni Spahiu of Kosovo who has finished his term in Ankara and thanked him for his contribution to our bilateral relations during his 7 year tenure in Ankara.
