Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu attended on 19 June 2019 the meeting titled “The Nexus between Population Movements and Security” organized by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (GNAT).

In his speech, Minister Çavuşoğlu emphasized that Turkey played a key role for the security and stability of the Mediterranean region.

Minister Çavuşoğlu stated that Turkey was hosting 4 million refugees and fighting irregular migration.

Minister Çavuşoğlu also stressed that we needed to work together for the peace and stability of the Mediterranean region.

On the same day, Minister Çavuşoğlu met with Ambassador Kemeseng Jammeh of The Gambia, Ambassador Branko Milic of Montenegro and Ambassador Pakeer Mohideen Amza of Sri Lanka, upon completion of their terms in Ankara.

Minister Çavuşoğlu thanked the Ambassadors for their contributions to our bilateral relations.
