Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu is visiting New York to attend the meetings of the 74th session of the United Nations (UN) General Assembly.

On 20 September 2019, Minister Çavuşoğlu met with Tijjani Muhammed-Bande, President of the 74th session of the United Nations General Assembly.

Minister Çavuşoğlu congrutulated him and stated that we would provide full support and every kind of contribution to him during his term.

On the same day, Minister Çavuşoğlu met also with UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres.

At the meeting, regional and international developments, particularly Cyprus and Syria were discussed and Turkey’s contributions to the UN and new cooperation projects were evaluated.
