Bilateral political relations between Türkiye and Seychelles were established in June 1995. Turkish Embassy in Nairobi is accredited to Seychelles, while Seychelles’ Embassy in Paris/France is accredited to Türkiye.

The political relations between Türkiye and Seychelles are progressing. The former President of the Assembly of Seychelles Patrick Herminie paid a visit to Türkiye upon the invitation of the former President of the Turkish Grand National Assembly H.E. Mehmet Ali Şahin in 2011.

In 2012, an Honorary Consulate of Seychelles was established in Ankara, besides the Honorary Consulate in İstanbul.

Türkiye- Seychelles bilateral trade volume amounted to 27 million USD in 2020 (exports from Türkiye: 18 million USD; imports to Türkiye: 9 million USD)
