Relations between Türkiye and Guinea Bissau stayed somewhat limited with bilateral meetings held in the margins of international organizations so far. On the other hand both countries shares the will to further developed bilateral relations. The Turkish Embassy in Dakar is accredited to Guinea Bissau. Türkiye also has an Honorary Consulate in Bissau and Guinea Bissau has two Honorary Consulates in Istanbul and Ankara.

The trade volume between Türkiye and Guinea Bissau amounted to 4,95 million USD in 2019.

The “Security Cooperation Agreement” between Türkiye and Guinea Bissau was signed on February, 2014.

In 2014, a Memorandum of Understanding on Civil Aviation was signed between the two countries. Also the Agreement on Air Transportation was initialed.
