Relations between Turkey and Trinidad and Tobago

Relations between Turkey and Trinidad and Tobago are proceeding in a problem free manner. The Turkish Embassy in Caracas is accredited to Trinidad and Tobago.

H.E. Mr. Abdullah Gül, the then Minister of Foreign Affairs, held a bilateral meeting with H.E. Mr. Knowlson Gift, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Trinidad and Tobago, on 23 September 2005 in New York, during the UN’s 60th General Assembly Meeting.

The only agreement between the two countries is the “Agreement on Visa Exemption”. It was finalized on 28 February 1963.

According to 2010 data, Turkey’s exports to Trinidad and Tobago are worth approximately 25 million USD and its imports from Trinidad and Tobago 1.6 million USD. No agreement has been signed so far towards the formation of the legal framework for commercial and economic relations between the two countries.
