Relations between Turkey and Cabo Verde stayed somewhat limited with bilateral meetings held in the margins of international organizations so far. There has been no high-level official visit between the two countries.

Turkey wishes to further develop its relations with Cabo Verde, thus an “Action Plan” was drafted by Turkish Foreign Ministry with contributions of the related Turkish authorities. The proposal was forwarded to the Foreign Ministry of Cabo Verde. The draft “Action Plan” covers areas of cooperation from bilateral relations to security, economy, culture, education, science and development.

The bilateral trade volume between the two countries reached 9,5 million USD in 2019.

The Turkish Embassy in Dakar is accredited to Cabo Verde.
