We sadly note that four people lost their lives and 18 people were injured as a result of random shootings by unidentified people against the guests outside a wedding ceremony performed on 20 October 2013 at the Al-Azra Church in Al-Warraq district in Giza Province. We wish God's mercy upon those who lost their lives in the attack, convey our condolences to their families and hope for a speedy recovery of the wounded.

We find unacceptable and unjustifiable the use of violence, whatever its motive or whomever its perpetrator may be.

On this occasion, we express once again our strong solidarity with the people of Egypt which we regard as friendly and brotherly with all its components.
