H.E. Abdullah Gül, President of Turkey is paying a state visit to Kuwait upon the invitation of Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.

During the visit which coincides with the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, President Gül and Emir Sheikh Sabah exchanged views on various aspects of the bilateral relations and regional developments.

Following their meeting; Cooperation Agreement on Military Training; Cooperation Protocol in the Press and Information; Commercial Maritime Transportation Agreement; and Cooperation Protocol in Archives were signed between the relative departments of Turkey and Kuwait.

President Gül also received the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.
