Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu paid a visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on 12-13 October 2016 to participate in the 5th Meeting of Foreign Ministers of Turkey-Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) High Level Strategic Dialogue. In the meeting, relations of Turkey with the Gulf countries as well as common challenges, regional developments and prospective cooperation areas were discussed. During the visit, Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu was also received by King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia, and held various bilateral meetings.
