Mr. Frans Timmermans, Minister for European Affairs of the Netherlands, will visit Turkey on 30-31 January 2008.

During his visit, Mr. Timmermans will meet with Mr. Ali Babacan, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Mehmet Şimşek, Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Mr. Murat Mercan, Chairman of Foreign Affairs Commission in the Turkish Grand National Assembly.

Emphasis during the meetings with Minister for European Affairs Mr. Timmermans will be on Turkish-EU relations and the possible contributions of the Netherlands towards enhancing these relations.
