We welcome the decision of the Egyptian Administration to permanently open the Rafah Crossing between the Gaza Strip and Egypt.

The opening of the Rafah Crossing will help alleviate the stringent conditions and the hardship imposed on the Gazan people. We hope that this step will induce Israel to reconsider its inhumane blockade implemented against the Gazan population.

We congratulate the Egyptian Administration for this significant contribution aimed at improving the daily living conditions of the people in Gaza, in addition to its efforts displayed to ensure reaching a national reconciliation in Palestine.
