No: 70, 12 March 2018, Press Release Regarding the First Quadrilateral Meeting of Foreign Ministers of Turkey-Azerbaijan-Georgia-Iran

On 14-15 March 2018, H.E. Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey will pay a visit to Baku to accompany Prime Minister Binali Yıldırım, who will be visiting Azerbaijan on the occasion of 6th Baku Global Forum. Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu will also attend Quadrilateral Meeting of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Turkey-Azerbaijan-Georgia-Iran on 15 March 2018.

Quadrilateral Cooperation Mechanism is complementary to Trilateral Cooperation Mechanisms between Turkey-Azerbaijan-Georgia and Turkey-Azerbaijan-Iran and aims to create a new synergy in our region on the basis of mutual benefit and common interests.

In this context, Quadrilateral Meeting of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Turkey-Azerbaijan-Georgia-Iran will be an important platform to explore cooperation opportunities in the fields of economy, trade, transportation, energy, environment, health, tourism, cultural affairs and human relations and to exchange views on regional issues in quadrilateral format.

On the margins of the Quadrilateral Meeting, Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu will also hold bilateral meetings with his counterparts.
