We wish that the political crisis in our neighbor and a strategic partner Ukraine is resolved as soon as possible on the basis of democratic principles and reconciliation, and through an inclusive process in which all the parties in Ukraine will participate.

At this point, it is obviously important to find a solution to the problem within Ukraine’s national unity, territorial integrity and constitutional system. In this framework, we also expect all parties in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea where our kinsmen Crimean Tatars live as well, to act in restraint and with common sense.

Turkey will continue to support any democratic solution that will be found within the framework of the legitimate demands of the people of Ukraine.
