UN High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grandi will pay a visit to Turkey on 31 August – 1 September 2016.

During the visit, UNHCR Grandi will come together with H.E. Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey.

The visit will contribute to bring the protection and services provided for nearly three million Syrians by Turkey, “largest refugee-hosting country in the world”, to the attention of the world public opinion once again.

On the occasion of the visit, the sides will exchange views on various aspects and further strengthening of cooperation.

During the visit, H.E. Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, and UNHCR Grandi will also sign the Host Country Agreement between Turkey and the UNHCR.
