We are deeply saddened by the loss of lives in a ferry accident that occurred today (12 July) on the Euphrates River in Deir ez-Zor, Syria.

We wish Allah's mercy upon those who lost their lives, and extend our condolences to their families and to the people of Syria.

Türkiye, which has provided support to the search and rescue operations, will continue to stand in solidarity with the Syrian Government and people.
