President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has left Turkey to pay an official visit to Japan today (7 October 2015). Foreign Minister Sinirlioğlu is accompanying President Erdoğan during his visit.

Within the scope of his visit to Japan, President Erdoğan will be received by His Imperial Majesty Japanese Emperor Akihito and will meet with Shinzo Abe, Japanese Prime Minister. President Erdoğan will also participate in the ceremony to receive his honorary degree conferred by Waseda University. President Erdoğan will also address the seminar organized by the Republic of Turkey Prime Ministry Investment Support and Promotion Agency for Japanese businessmen.
