Mr. Ahmet Davutoğlu, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey received Samir Hafez, President of the Syrian Turkmen Assembly and the members of the Executive Council on April 2, 2013.

Foreign Minister Davutoğlu congratulated the President and the members of the Executive Council for the establishment of Syrian Turkmen Assembly and wished them continued success.

President of the Syrian Turkmen Assembly, Samir Hafez informed about the three-day election process and the activities of the Assembly foreseen in the near future.

Foreign Minister Davutoğlu underlined that it is of great importance that Syrian Turkmen act in unity. It is essential that Syrian Turkmen assume an active role in the process of building a new Syria, stressed Foreign Minister Davutoğlu and expressed his confidence that Syrian Turkmen will build a bridge of brotherhood between Turkey and Syria.
