Mr. Ahmet Davutoğlu, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey received Ahmed Jarba, President of the Syrian National Coalition and his accompanying delegation on August 24, 2013 in İstanbul.

Speaking to the press members before the meeting where the recent developments in Syria was reviewed, Foreign Minister Davutoğlu pointed out that Turkey’s expectation is that the UN team arrives in the area where the chemical weapon attack was carried out before the evidences are disappeared and are annihilated; that UN team is enabled to conduct investigation on the victims of this barbarous attack and that medical aid is reached for the injured in the shortest time.

Emphasizing that Turkey, as always, stands by people of Syria, Foreign Minister Davutoğlu stated that with a view to taking necessary steps, Turkey will maintain her contacts with the international community.
