Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu paid a visit to Iran to participate in the 4th Trilateral Meeting of Foreign Ministers of Turkey-Iran-Azerbaijan. At the meeting, the Ministers exchanged views with the purpose of further enhancing regional cooperation in light of the decisions taken at the previous meetings. Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu also had bilateral meetings with Foreign Minister Mammadyarov of Azerbaijan and Foreign Minister Zarif of Iran.

The Trilateral Meetings of Foreign Ministers, which provide an opportunity to exchange views on regional issues, also contribute to the consolidation of regional stability and security.

After the meeting, Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu departed from Iran to accompany Prime Minister Davutoğlu during his visit to Finland.
