Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu left Turkey for Brussels on 29 November 2015 to attend the Turkey-EU Summit. Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu accompanied Prime Minister Davutoğlu during his visit.

Following his meeting with the President of the EU Council Mr. Donald Tusk and the President of the European Commission Mr. Jean-Claude Juncker, Prime Minister Davutoğlu attended the Turkey-EU Summit where 28 heads of state or governments were also present. In the Summit which constitutes an important step in Turkey's EU accession talks, as well as re-energizing Turkey's negotiation process, visa-free travel for Turkish citizens, refugee crisis, regional developments and jeopolitical challenges were also discussed.
