Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu accompanied President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan during his visit to Iran on 4 October 2017.

President Erdoğan started his contacts by meeting with his Iranian counterpart President Hassan Rouhani.

During the 4th Meeting of Turkey-Iran High Level Cooperation Council co-chaired by President Erdoğan and President Rouhani bilateral relations, regional and international developments were discussed.

Following the meeting various agreements to further strengthen bilateral cooperation were signed.

During the visit, President Erdoğan also met with Iran’s Religious Leader Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamanei.
