Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu accompanied President Erdoğan who paid an official visit to Greece, 7-8 December 2017.

The visit constituted the first visit from Turkey to Greece at the presidential level after a period of 65 years.

Prior to his official meetings, President Erdoğan laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, located across the Greek Parliament on December 7th.

President Erdoğan met with President Prokopis Pavlopoulos of Greece in Athens.

Following the meeting, President Erdoğan received Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras of Greece and held a joint press conference.

President Erdoğan also received the Chairman of New Democracy Party Kyriakos Mitsotakis at the Turkish Embassy building in Athens.

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and First Lady Emine Erdoğan attended an official dinner, hosted in their honor by President Prokopis Pavlopoulos and First Lady Vlasia Pavlopoulos of Greece.

President Erdoğan visited Celal Bayar High School in Komotini on December 8th, and addressed our kinsmen of Western Thrace.
