Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu accompanied President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan who paid an official visit to Serbia between 9-11 October 2017.

Following his visit to Ukraine, President Erdoğan arrived in Serbia late evening on October 9th. Welcomed by President Aleksandar Vucic of Serbia with an official ceremony, President Erdoğan held a tete a tete meeting with his Serbian counterpart on October 10th.

Following the tete a tete, Turkey-Serbia relations and cooperation were evaluated at the meeting of delegations.

During the visit, Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu and Minister for EU Affairs Ömer Çelik held a meeting with First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic.

Following the signing of various agreements that will enhance Turkey – Serbia cooperation, President Erdoğan and his counterpart Vucic held a joint press conference.

At Turkey-Serbia Business Forum, means to further develop mutual trade and investments were discussed.

President Erdoğan visited in Belgrade Tomb of Damat Ali Pasha and Sokullu Mehmet Pasha Fountain where renovation work undertaken by TIKA continues, as well the Ottoman heritage Bayraklı Mosque.

President Erdoğan visited Novi Pazar, Sandzak together with President Vucic on 11 October 2017, where he was received with great joy and enthusiasm.

President Erdogan also addressed Bosniak National Council and underlined Turkey's support for regional development projects.
