Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu accompanied President Erdoğan on the second leg of his visit to Africa, Mauritania on 28 February 2018.

The said visit constituted the first official presidential visit from Turkey to Mauritania.

As President Erdoğan arrived at the Presidential Palace, Mauritanian people demonstrated their affection.

President Erdoğan had a tete-a-tete meeting with President Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz of Mauritania.

Following two Presidents’ meeting, bilateral agreements on cooperation in various fields were signed between Turkey and Mauritania at the end of the meetings between delegations.
