During his visit to New York to attend the 72nd UN General Assembly, Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu held talks with Foreign Minister Ertuğruloğlu of TRNC, Head of Department of Foreign Relations of KRG Falah Mustafa, Special Representative of UNSG Jan Kubis, Deputy Prime Minister/Minister of International Relations and Cooperation Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah of Namibia and High Representative of the Alliance of Civilizations Nassir Abdulaziz Al-Nasser.

Minister Çavuşoğlu attended the like-minded countries meeting hosted by the US Secretary of State Tillerson the same day. At the meeting, developments in Syria were discussed.

The groundbreaking ceremony of the new Turkish House building in New York was also held on 18 September.
