Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu paid a working visit to the United States on 3-4 June 2018 upon the invitation of Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.

On June 3, Sunday, Minister Çavuşoğlu met with Turkish-American National Steering Committee (TASC) Board Members and Diyanet Center of America representatives. Minister Çavuşoğlu attended iftar dinner hosted by TASC and Diyanet Center of America.

On June 4, Monday, Minister Çavuşoğlu held a meeting with Secretary of State Pompeo. At the meeting, Turkey-US bilateral relations, matters related to Syria including road map on Manbij, and other regional matters were discussed.

During the visit, Minister Çavuşoğlu also met with American business circles, think tanks and members of the press.

Turkey-US trade volume reached 20.7 billion USD in 2017, and the total investments of US firms in Turkey has reached 11.4 billion USD. Minister Çavuşoğlu emphasized Turkey’s determination to further enhance economic, trade and investment cooperation with the US.
