Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu visited Los Angeles in the US on 11-14 January 2018. During the visit, Minister Çavuşoğlu met with business, press and local political circles, as well as Turkish citizens and participated in the events organized by think-tanks.

On January 12, Minister Çavuşoğlu laid a wreath in memory of all the martyred diplomats of Turkish Foreign Ministry at the spot where Consul General Kemal Arıkan was martyred in Los Angeles.

Foreign Minister Çavuşoğlu came together with the Los Angeles Times Editorial Board. The Minister informed the Editorial Board on foreign policy priorities of Turkey, as well as its approach towards regional and global issues.

At the meeting organized at Los Angeles World Affairs Council, Minister Çavuşoğlu discussed Turkish foreign policy and current regional and global developments with opinion leaders.

Minister Çavuşoğlu came together with members of Turkish community in Los Angeles at the Turkish Consulate General.

Minister Çavuşoğlu met with members of Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce where Turkish-American trade relations were discussed. Minister Çavuşoğlu encouraged businessmen to further increase commerce with Turkey.
